Watch Out Michael Phelps!

Can you say Summer Olympics 2028? Gracie is really getting better every lesson at the Y. She has mastered the kicking, paddling and blowing bubbles. Now- if we can just sync them together into the action of swimming. She can now swim by herself with the "belt" on. Brian came by today to watch and took this video. Take a look at Grace's face when she starts off, all smiles and proud. By the time she reaches me at the opposite end of the pool, she's ready to kill me!

Coyne Cousins

Grace and Molly just love it when they get to play with their cousins Jack and Luke Coyne. Baby Coyne #3 will be here in September to add even more madness to the mix. Bring it on! We did a little Spring/Easter activity when the boys came for a visit Monday. Here is our group picture during the craft. It was worth a shot.

Sisterly Love

Grace & Molly- Oh what fun they have. Even though Molly is still so young, Grace finds new ways to play with her and entertain her everyday. Molly is just in love with her big sister and looks at her in awe anytime they interact. Here are two short videos of the two of them playing together.

PS: To hear the sound of the videos you will need to pause the music on the sidebar.

Freedom Playground

One of our most recent favorite places is Freedom Playground. Freedom Playground was just built on Haverford Reserve about ten minutes from our house. Brian was a big part of helping build the handicap accessable playground by donating a lot of his time and landscaping equipment to the cause. Recently, we ventured there with one of the girls most favorite people, our cousin, Katie Coyne! Here are some pics of the ladies enjoying the new park!

A Twighlight Show

Tonight, Gracie and Grandpop decided it was a great idea to re-enact the final song of Annie. Well, in all reality, I think we all know that Gracie probably asked Grandpop to do this and whether he liked it or not, he was stepping in as Daddy Warbucks. Here is a little evening performance of the two of them ( tap shoes and all ). And if things don't work out for Grandpop at Super Fresh, he could always get a job as an understudy on Broadway.

Music to your Ears

Ok gang...we now have music on the blog for your listening pleasure! To the right of the screen is a black box with some songs I picked out for Gracie & Molly. I hope you like them. If you prefer not to listen, just hit the big circle button above the word TITLE and it will pause the music so you don't have to hear it or it wont clash with any videos I post with sound. I hope this was easy enough for most people to follow- this means you Patty Coyne!

Girls & Dolls

You gotta love little kids and their imaginations! Grace is a lot like Brian in many ways but she definitely gets her imagination from him. Yesterday, I propped Molly up on the couch while I was making her bottle. Molly is getting so big that she is now able to sit up assisted for a short periods of time. In the 2 minutes tops it took me to make a bottle, Grace had 5 baby dolls lined up next to Molly. It was hysterical, Molly just blended right in.  Brian and I were cracking up! It was too cute to forget so we had Grace jump in with her sister and dolls for a picture.

St. Patty's Day

What is better than a whole day to celebrate being Irish??? How bout a whole day celebrating being Irish in OCEAN CITY! We traveled to Ocean City today with a few of Grace and Molly's friends to look for a shore house to rent this September. We lucked out and had a perfect day! We enjoyed Mack and Manco's pizza ( a must for any OC visit ) and played on the beach. Another highlight of the day was all the construction going on near the 9th Street bridge entering Ocean City.  Gracie nearly jumped out of her carseat at the sight of the different trucks- she loved every minute of it. She loved it so much she insisted on calling her father while we were entering Ocean City to tell him all about the different trucks and machines. Who needs a son when your daughter is obsessed with dump trucks and backhoes?

The MomMom

Today was a sad day as we said good bye to "The MomMom". The MomMom, who is Brian's grandmother, was an amazing woman who loved her family, her friends, her greek heritage and a good meal! My kind of woman! She lived just a few blocks away so we were very lucky that we often walked over after dinner to visit with Big MomMom and Big PopPop. Grace always loved stealing a little sip of MomMoms iced tea or playing with the wagon of toys she had stored next to the couch especially for Gracie and Wyatt. Gracie especially loved that every visit, Big MomMom would always tell Gracie "I'm gonna get your hiney!" Even though she is in peace now, to say that she will be greatly missed is a huge understatement. I feel so blessed to have known her for the past years. We love you MomMom!

Luck of the Irish

We decided that today we would attempt to take the girls to the Philadelphia Saint Patrick's Day parade. My dad and uncle took me, my siblings and cousins as kids and we absolutely loved it! My father and uncle also used to load up bags of candy and treats and let us eat till we got sick down there. It was great! I hoped Grace and Molly would enjoy it just as much as I did. So we put on their matching St. Patty's Day outfits ( compliments of my shopaholic cousin Katie Coyne ) and headed to the train to meet the Reynolds family. We got down there and stoked out a prime spot in front of the Comcast Center. We danced and sang and took anything they wanted to hand us for the kiddies out of their little pots of gold. Then Ronald McDonald came by on his scooter! We even met a frightening looking leprechaun that scared the parents a hell of a lot more than the kids. The day ended with us missing our train by about 3 minutes and having to linger in the Suburban Station terminal with a very stinky homeless man for about an hour. All and all- it was an awesome day and we had a blast!!! I can't wait till next year!

All Ready to go to the Parade!

Ash Wednesday

Ashes for Miss Molly. I wonder what she will be giving up for Lent this year? If your wondering where the picture of Grace is with her ashes - it doesn't exist. She came home, looked in the mirror and wiped them off. What a sinner!

Tumbling Class

Grace enjoys going to Tumbling Class each Tuesday at the Y. She loves to run around with her friends and go through the obstacle course. She especially likes the balance beam! Here is a short video of Grace going through the obstacle course!

Stage Mom

As so many of you know, Grace is OBSESSED with the movie "Annie". She must ask me 5 times a day if we can watch it. I swear she knows every line from start to finish- not to mention she could pretty much choreograph the re-make if they needed a hand. Anywho... She enjoys it so much that she often times requests that Brian and I call her Annie. And Jack the dog had no choice but to pretty much be re-named Sandy after her pet in the movie. Heres a little clip of her playing Annie.

PS- I know she's tone def, but she is only 2!
