Lazy Summer Days...

Summer is around the corner and we are trying to stay cool by staying busy! We have had so many fun activities going on its hard to keep track of them of all. Within the past week Grace had her last day of Mothers Morning Out, Molly got her 1st tooth, Uncle Justin went to his senior prom at Bonner High School, we saw a horse at the Collen Brook Farm, we enjoyed Party in the Park with some friends from the civic association, we had our 1st pool party in the backyard and we had our 1st summer happy hour in the driveway with neighbors. Here are some pictures from the past week.

Please Touch Museum

With all the rain we had last week, we knew that we needed to get these kids out of the house. So we went to the Please Touch Museum in Fairmount with some friends. Even thought it was jam packed, we still had a blast. All the kids really enjoy going there because there is so much to do! Grace and Molly have 2 new friends in our ever growing circle: Liam & Emma. Liam and Emma are Connor's cousins. It was Liam & Emma's 1st time ever to the Please Touch Museum so we made sure to take plenty of pictures. We topped the day off with lunch at California Pizza Kitchen- never disappoints!

This is what the crew looked like!
The Please Touch Museum will never be the same!

Molly the Laughing Baby

Check out this short video of Molly laughing hysterically while Grace threw some stuffed animals around the room. It was the hardest I had ever seen Molly laugh so I tried to get some on video.

Tea for Two

Its official- Gracie is potty trained. I never thought I would be able to say these words. She has received many small little gifts and treats from family members for being such a big girl. The best gift of all definitely came from Aunt Jayne Emily ( Jayne Leary )! I guess we can credit Katie and Uncle Terr too. They all love to buy things for Grace for any reason possible! Its a real problem they have.

So since Grace was about a year old and got her 1st tea table and tea set from Uncle Jimmy and Uncle Michael, she has loved playing tea party. Anyone who has ever played in our basement knows the tea table is a hot spot! Well Aunt Jayne Emily got Grace a new tea set that changes color when you use cold water- huge hit! She and Molly have been having 2 and 3 tea parties a day! Here is a short video and some pictures.

Smith Park

Fairmount Park in Philadelphia has a little secret called Smith Park. As a kid, I went a few times with all the Coyne, Fullerton and Moran kids. There is a gaint one of a kind wooden slide that is about 40 feet long and 15 feet wide that you ride down in burlap bags. In addition to the cool outdoor park, there is an awesome indoor playhouse filled with tons of toys and bikes. Check out pictures from our recent visit with Connor and Michael.

So excited to be at Smith Park!

Talent Show

Grace and Molly are always making Brian and I smile. We cant believe how quickly they are both growing up and how much they are able to do. So here are too short videos to show off the girls!

Hail Mary
Grace learned this prayer from her Mothers Morning Out class she goes to once a week at St. Bernadette's- gotta love the old school catholic teachings. Honestly, how proud do you think Patty Coyne was when she heard this for the first time. Sister Mary Grace Dougherty- I can see it now!

Bouncing
Here is Molly doing what she does best- smiling! She just chills in her jumper and entertains herself while I work in the office and return phone calls. She is currently interning now for Dougherty Landscape, LLC 5 days a week.

Mother's Day

I thought I knew what love was until I became a mom. It's a love so different than any other love I have ever felt. I hope one day when my little girls become mothers, god willing, they will know this feeling of unconditional love because its the most amazing feeling in the entire world.

We spent the day relaxing and just hanging out. In the morning I did the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer walk with the women on the Coyne side of the family in honor of my Aunt Candy who passed away from breast cancer almost 3 years ago. After a nice nap with my girls, we did some visiting to the grandmoms and then enjoyed a nice night on the patio with the girls playing and Bri & I enjoying some drinks and our new firepit ( a very practical mother's day gift for the new patio ). It was a really great day!
