Good Night Irene!

All in one week we survived an earthquake, a hurricane and a tornado - I'm exhausted!!! Nothing much to report on Irene. We enjoyed the breeze on the porch before the storm got bad - Grace loves any excuse to get out her umbrella. Then we keep busy by playing in the basement Saturday night with Uncle James ( and some cocktails ). We were all set to go to bed when we saw there was tornado warning so Brian insisted we sleep in the basement. We woke sleeping Molly and transferred her to the pack and play in the basement while Grace grabbed her sleeping bag ( she has been itching to use it ). Just as we were about to fall asleep we heard the sump pump go on and we knew it was going to be a long night. The basement was fine and we never lost power once! Unfortunately, our friends the Klodarskas and Reynolds both had no power so they came over to hang out. The kids enjoyed a movie in the basement while the men went out and "surveyed the damage". Such nerds! We finished the day off with some go karting at Arnolds! It turned out to be pretty fun weekend after all.

Molly Is Mobile!

Molly Catherine has finally decided to start crawling! She is a few days shy of 10 months old and looking back I think Grace was a late crawler as well. Here is a short video from today when she finally started moving!

Our New Swing Set!

Grace and Molly are so lucky that their Daddy built them a brand new swing set last weekend. It is absolutely awesome and we cant wait to play on it all the time. We just put some finishing touches on it like some stain and some grass seed around it but otherwise its ready to be broken in. Here are some picture while Daddy ( Uncle John, Uncle James and Mike ) all helped build the coolest swing set on the block! PS- Grace and Molly even supported their Dad by wearing their Dougherty Landscape gear that day! So cute!

Go Kart Fun

Rainy Mondays get some people down in the dumps! Not the Dougherty's! We ventured to Arnolds Family Fun Center in Oaks to do some indoor Go Karting! We have to give full credit to Connor's dad who thought of the great idea. Since Connors new baby brother Sean arrived on the scene we have been busy with the big kids doing lots of fun stuff. Grace and Connor started by riding along side the dads in a double seater on the big track. Then once they were acclaimed, they tried the junior track where they drive their OWN go karts. Its awesome! After some arcade games and a little snack, we watched the big boys ( the dads ) do a round on the fast track by themselves. They loved it! And for the record- Connor's dad won.
